DESCRIPTION

The HC-SR501 is a Passive Infrared (PIR) Motion Sensor module used for detecting human or animal movement. It works by sensing changes in infrared radiation emitted by warm bodies within its field of view.

Key functional details:

• Pyroelectric Sensor:
  Detects variations in infrared radiation caused by motion. When the IR signature changes, the sensor generates a small electrical signal.
• Fresnel Lens Array:
  The white dome lens concentrates and segments infrared signals to enhance detection range and sensitivity.
• Adjustable Sensitivity:
  A built-in potentiometer allows tuning of detection distance between 3–7 m.
• Adjustable Delay Time:
  A second potentiometer controls how long the output remains high after motion is detected (5–200 seconds).
• Retriggering Function:
  Supports H and L modes for retriggering behavior (repeat or non-repeat trigger).
• Low Power Consumption:
